Venom has just introduced one of the hottest Helicopters available, the Venom Night Ranger Micro 6CH RC RTF Helicopter. At just 13.5 inches long the Night Ranger 3D Micro is the smallest RTF 6CH Helicopter available. Just because it’s small doesn’t mean Venom left out any of the goodies of its big brother the Night Ranger 3D. Fully 3D this Helicopter can do all the cool tricks like loops, rolls, inverted hovers, stalls and flips.

If you love to fly helicopters you surely can master Radio Control Airplanes. Dare take the challenge? (I know “helicopters” are cooler.)

We all remember the M.A.S.H. televison show so popular years ago. Until recently we haven’t had a hobby-quality RC helicopter that mimics the one used in the show. Now we have the UH-1H Medevac helicopter, and what’s cooler, under the old-school classic design are all the bells and whistles that make it an amazing flyer.
1) The new EF M.A.S.H. Rescue Chopper Dual Rotor 4 CH RTF Electric RC Helicopter comes with a quick charge, long-lasting Li-Poly battery which is found in only the newest RC flying toys.
2) Coaxial Rotor Design. Which maximizes stability and also removes the need for a rear tail rotor and the programming and timing necessary to make sure it works ok.
3) Full, 4 Channel digitally proportional control for a more precise flying experience.
4) Extra replacement blades
As you can see by the photo, the helicopter looks great and flies even better. Make sure you check out the M.A.S.H. Rescue Electric RC Helicopter on the main site.

Helicopters are fun, but we also carry a full line of r c model airplanes if you prefer the whole wings thing.

A couple of things about the new Mini Apache RC Electric 2 CH Helicopter make it awesome. First of all, we at HobbyTron.com love Apache helicopters, and secondly we’ve never had one of this size! The Mini Apache RC Helicopter fits in the palm of your hand, measuring in at about 6 inches. What is cool about the mini Apache is that it has a full body foam case around it instead of some boring sticker frame body that will break the first time you crash it. All of the electric components are completely encased in a tough outer body.
The detail on the mini apache is pretty good. It even comes with some decals of little pilots in the windows. The functionality is amazing. It comes with a non-spring-loaded throttle control, which makes hovering a snap. You simply set the throttle to the position you want and it will stay there until you move it again; A very cool feature. It has tail rotor trim and like many of the other mini helis we carry, it charges directly from the “AA” battery powered controller. Check out the Mini Apache RC Electric 2 CH Helicopter here. But if RC helicopters aren’t your thing, we also have a lot of cool electric r c airplanes you can check out.

We’ve carried small and affordable flexible RC Airplanes before at HobbyTron.com, but we’ve never had LED lights on one that flew quite this well. We love the Venom Hawkeye 2CH Dual Electric Motors EPP Foam RTF Electric RC Airplane. What’s really nifty about this plane is that the EPP foam wings will actually bend and twist in a crash, which means no broken wings and no replacing them. The Venom Hawkeye even comes with a couple of replacement props in case you somehow manage to break those in an unexpected landing.
The night-flight LED lights can be turned on or off with a simple switch under the fuselage. They are surprisingly bright for their size and you can easily see them when flying at night. The Venom Hawkeye also charges directly from the controller which uses “AA” batteries. All in all, we love the control, love the lights and were nearly giddy about the EPP construction. Make sure to check out the Venom Hawkeye RC Airplane.

Last night we were featured on KSL newsradio’s Nightside Project radio show and we all had a blast! We talked about all the great father’s day gifts we have available. Michael made the point that dads have had enough socks and ties…it’s time to get something cool for dad.
Some of the RC cars, trucks and helicopters we featured on the show were the:
Superscale Ford GT 1/5th Scale RC Car
E-Zilla 1/10 RTR RC Electric Monster Truck By Hot Bodies
Traxxas Revo 3.3 RTR Nitro RC Monster Truck (55+ mph)
Hornet 3 Mini RC Helicopter Digital Proportional 2 Channel
Electric Mini Hughes 300 Fairy 2 Channel RC Helicopter
We had a great time, special thanks to Michael, Ethan and Paul for having us on the show. Check out our Airsoft Blog to see how the airsoft segment on the show turned out.

Once upon a time we carried a sweet little RC hybrid called the hydrofoam. They were difficult to get a hold of and we weren’t terribly impressed with the quality at the time so we regrettably pulled them from the site. Low and behold, just recently we were able to get a direct line of new, improved RC hydrofoam RC airships and are excited to make them available once again!

The Airship F4 RC RTR flies when you want it to, lands in water and rides like a boat when you want it to, and as if that weren’t enough, glides on land and over virtually any surface. It gives an amazing amount of control that we loved and the lightweight construction make it really durable and crash resistant. What we really loved about it was the 280/380 Brushless Motor with External Rotor. It comes with a 1300mAH Lithium battery for long fly times. You’ll need to check out the other specs on the F4 Airship at the main site.

Our own little Hornet 3 Mini RC Helicopter has been more and more popular lately and is picking up momentum. The Hornet 3 will be featured in an upcoming review in Model Retailer Magazine. It hasn’t been published yet, but should hit the stands in the next several weeks. HobbyTron.com will also be featured on KSL’s Nightsite Project next week as a popular item for Dads and Grads.

This weekend the Utah Valley Aeromodelers Club will be holding the UVA annual fly-in weekend show. Here is the information direct from their website:
“For years the UVA has held an open house. This year we are shaking things up. This year we will have a Fly-In instead of an open house. I’m very excited for the Fly-In. All Utah clubs have been notified. There has been great interest from the Northern Utah clubs. If you have never been to a fly-in you should plan to attend. They are great for meeting new pilots and seeing great aircraft fly. While the Fly-In is mainly for those who fly RC we will have a few demonstrations on Saturday. A full size helicopter will drop by the field for a short visit. Now that’s something you won’t want to miss. There will be some great prizes in our Raffle. Including RTF’s, ARFS, etc. Food and drink will be available.”
It will be a great opportunity to check out some of the hottest RC Airplanes, RC Helicopters and other hot flying models.
