This weekend the Utah Valley Aeromodelers Club will be holding the UVA annual fly-in weekend show. Here is the information direct from their website:

“For years the UVA has held an open house. This year we are shaking things up. This year we will have a Fly-In instead of an open house. I’m very excited for the Fly-In. All Utah clubs have been notified. There has been great interest from the Northern Utah clubs. If you have never been to a fly-in you should plan to attend. They are great for meeting new pilots and seeing great aircraft fly. While the Fly-In is mainly for those who fly RC we will have a few demonstrations on Saturday. A full size helicopter will drop by the field for a short visit. Now that’s something you won’t want to miss. There will be some great prizes in our Raffle. Including RTF’s, ARFS, etc. Food and drink will be available.”

It will be a great opportunity to check out some of the hottest RC Airplanes, RC Helicopters and other hot flying models.

As you know, we had our father’s day segment on Fox 13 yesterday morning. Favorite segments were where John Morgan from the Utah Valley Aeromodelers Club took his nitro raptor 50 RC helicopter for flips and tick-tocks on camera and our RC electric car race in the parking lot. Tomorrow, June 5th from 6-9AM on Fox 13 news with Bug Budah the hobbytron.com guys will be putting on a show up at the Fox 13 headquarters in Salt Lake City. We will be showcasing some of the fun ways to get out this summer and be active outdoors with RC Electric Boats, RC Nitro Trucks, RC Boats, Planes and have the pleasure of having John Morgan, president of the Utah Valley Aeromodelers RC Club on the show who will be doing some AMAZING stunts on his nitro helicopter. We’ll specifically be showing the following RC stuff:

Most of us here at HobbyTron.com are kids at heart and when we get a chance to spread a bit of fun we jump at the opportunity. We’ve been involved with an orphanage in Mexico and have been able to bring a few smiles to their faces with some of our neat stuff. We recently sent them RC cars, RC trucks and some dolls so the girls didn’t feel left out and in return they gave us some photos of the little ones and their new toys.

We’re always on the lookout for ways we can lend a hand.

Kind of interesting how we just received our largest SuperScale RC Cars recently, and today received the Smallest performance RC Car we’ve ever had When we say that we mean that there are smaller cars out there, but normally RC cars this size are more toys than racers. The mini rush electric RC truggy was burning up the road in our parking lot near our office. We’ve included a video you can watch below.

We had a tough time putting this little guy down. The battery seems to last forever on a single charge which is awesome. Again, you can check it out here on its own page.

Looks like the gadget guys at I4U have picked up on how cool our new SuperScale RC Cars are and have written an article about them which you can find on the I4U News Page. They talk abou the advantages of using the Futaba FM transmitter and about how you end up saving big bucks by using regular unleaded fuel instead of expensive Nitro based fuel. We look forward to more reviews on our SuperScale RC Cars as more people begin to hear about them. As always, you can check out the SuperScale Ford GT and the SuperScale Mutilator on our site.
