RC Type Electric RC Vehicles are powered by batteries. This can range from standard alkaline batteries to rechargeable Ni-CD, Ni-MH or Li-Po battery packs. Some RC vehicles come with the required batteries.

Nitro RC Vehicles are powered by Nitro fuel. It must be purchased separately from your RC vehicle. They require more maintenance, but many RC enthusiasts prefer this type of RC vehicle since it handles more like the real thing.
