Bought two refurb'd Hercules 3.5ch helicopters in January'13. One was in good working order and flies very easily, that's coming from a complete rc helicopter novice. The other was defective. I contacted HobbyTron about the defective unit and they timely sent me a new one.
Only negative, they really need still air to be controllable, so outside flying is limited to zero wind days in my opinion.
For the price, you need to buy one. Actually buy two!

Well, unbreakable it is not. LOL. I replaced the tail rotor motor, control board and the battery. I am not complaining at all. This has been a great chopper! Its been crashed countless times. For the 26 bucks it cost to fix it (shipping included), i will definitely buy another one. It still fly's fantastic! I highly recommend this heli to everyone!! The replacement parts are a great value and you can keep these things up and flying for a low price.

I am buying 2 more of these REFURBISHED heli's for my sons. These are awesome birds!!! I have well over 100 flights outside on mine and it still works perfect. Great value, great flying heli and very durable. 5 stars all the way.

I should have started with either a smaller unit for in the house or larger one with more power for outside. As It took me some time to begin to learn how to use it. Unfortunatly, I had to fly it outside and this unit is not powerful enough to overcome winds over 3 mph. When no winds, I am becoming better at flying it.

Great refurbished copter. It was windy on the day I got it so I unpacked it and flew it in the living room. Stable enough and very easy to control. For being a refurb, there was not a scratch on it. Hobbytron had to have replaced all the cosmetics too! The box was pretty rough with return stickers all over it but we are flying the copter, not the box! If you are getting these for resale, take note of this. In general, great experience and a really good mid size copter. Thanks Hobbytron!

The heli is still working great. I changed the tail rotor blade. Installed one from the New Interceptor 052. Its a smaller blade but is has more pitch. That doubled the speed and makes the tail rotor motor run much cooler as well.

Mine seemed to run hot after 3 flights. I drilled 2 1/8 inch holes in the bottom of the canopy. It runs much cooler now that air can circulate better through the canopy. A great flying chopper. The flight times seem to get longer with each flight. It does take about 2 hrs atleast to fully charge the battery. Like i said before, mine is a refurbished model. I paid $20.00 for it and worth every penny. It looks and fly's fantastic!!

I bought the refurbished model. It looks and works fantastic! However, one of the spare main blades is totally trashed. About 1/3 of the blade is missing. The heli itself is in wonderful condition. It fly's great and the flight time and distance is more than i expected. The lights are bright and make night flying a breeze. I am very happy with this heli. Great job HobbyTron. I"ll find out if its unbreakable in a few months or so. Lol.

Fairly well made little bird. However, the remote seems to be on the cheap side.
The battery had to be charged for a full 24 hours before it could be used - no big surprise.
I am a total novice so it would have been nice if there had been just a bit more documentation on how to use everything. I'm still not able to keep it in the air for long so some tips would be very helpful. Maybe if the company had a video on their website... I'm glad that a couple extra blades were included in the package. I may yet need them if I run this thing into a wall, fence, or tree.
I live in a windy area and would not want to try flying this in more than a 5mph breeze. But it will be a lot of fun for a day in the park or in the yard. I can't wait to see if it can hoist my GoPro2.
Overall, I enjoy the challenge of learning how to use it. Can't wait to master it!
