Yes small type battery 8.4v 1100 mah Nmh, that comes with the gun. Get 9.6v 1600 mah Nmh small type runs longer... has 8 cells it will *****. Don't forget the 6mm glass bb .28 you can shoot holes through glass bottles.

Okay after owning this gun for several months I am very impressed on how well its holding up. I have gone through 20,000/ .25 bb's and so far I only replaced the fuse. I do recommend 2 or 3 batteries and at least 3 magazines in Airsoft battles. The battery that it comes with only last through one magazine using full automatic. This gun has showed great endurance through the abuse i have put it through. If you want this gun to perform above and beyond go to airsplat.com get the hand grip w/bottom rail and top handle mount for mounting your scope.also don't forget to Get a red dot scope. When you tune out your scope at 50/65ft you will be a force to be recon with. This gun All around 5 stars!! AWESOME!!
You can spend $300.00 or more on a classic Army g@g etc.for what.....save your money get this gun..

This gun is a JG CSI Commando, watch the video and it will tell you that first hand. Jing Gong or whatever, makes really good products. For the asking price and what this M4 has, it's a steal! I have one, although a few modifications you can't beat it. You can find upgrades almost anywhere for a M4 and being this one has metal gears, you can buy another spare motor or a replacement!

This gun is awesome i got it a few months ago.
Few Tips:
-Try not to use .12 gram bbs cause it will make the gun jam a lot.
-Clip that comes with it is really annoying (Not a fan of wind up) you might want to buy another one.
-I don't know about other people but when i got mine the hand guard was wobbly, this made the iron sights wobbly too (still trying to fix this)
-DON'T MISPLACE YOUR JAMMING ROD especially if you use .12
Overall great gun. Awesome fps, full metal (except hand guard and stock). Looks really cool with accessories like a red dot sight. Cheap too.
Overall Great Starter gun.

330-350 .23g bbs

nice fps for a field
short inner barrel good for cqb

cons
fps too high for cqb unless you use .25g bbs
plastic body keeps gun lightweight but not as durable as a metal body

you guys lie about the FPS for some guns but if you recommend .2 g BB's which will bring down the FPS but you can use .12 g BB's which will turn the FPS from 376 to 470 and alot of people are complaining because they only have .2 g BB's but i have both .2 and .12 g BB's so good for me >:]

I just received this gun today, It was nicely packed. I charge the batttery. Set up some coke cans out back and let it rip. I was very impress with the power. I used .20 bbs it easily punch holes through the can @ 35ft This is my 2nd airsoft and for the price i am very satisfied with this gun. If your just getting into Air soft I would Highly recommend you buying this gun!! You WILL not regret it.

The 470 FPS is with .12 gram ammo, however they recommend using .20 gram ammo which will lower the FPS...It's like anything else the manufacturers advertise one thing and deliver another...

I got the JG M-4 CQB Gun and it is really really good because my bro was getting a gun from a different website so i had to choose from there. If i didn;t i would have gotten this gun instead. And to rookie airsofter- I would get this gun but do not use .12 gram bb for this gun, it will break the gearbox.
